Why doesn't it say anything in the Bible about loving ourselves? This is the most important thing that has to happen before we can love God and love others as ourselves. If God loves us deeply but we don't love ourselves how can we really love and have confidence in God? But it seems this is never taught in church in my experience, and we are taught to love God and love others but not also ourselves, and this leads to a frustrating and incomplete perspective. Once we can learn to love ourselves unconditionally and as we are, then we will also be able to love others in the same way, but not before. These are just my ideas. What do you guys think?
